In case you don't know the name, George Grosz was a Weimar artist who did scratchy drawings of seedy naked people with transparent clothing. He also did some pretty good oils. That's my favorite above. Click to enlarge.
I thought fans of Grosz might like to see some of his watercolors. What do you think?
I think he had a fetish for cottage cheese.
ReplyDeleteThat last watercolor is AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteWonderful artwork, Uncle Eddie. I always love the artwork you post on your blog. You help expand my cultural horizons. I really like your blog. Also, I wanted to ask you a question. Do you think animation is capable of convincing dramatic acting, or is it just meant to be just comedy, like Bob CLampett? While I truly enjoy Bob Clampett's work, I think we can make convincing dramatic acting in anaimation. I wanted to know your opinion.

ReplyDeleteEddie, I can't decide which of Michael Barrier's new books to buy. Which is better?

Jorge: Hilarious! It looks just like the real cover!
ReplyDeleteIt's started off as a demonstartion of how easy the photoshop job on the real cover was. Posterize Level 4, Cutout. Believe it or not, I made it while having a deep philosophical discussion with Mr. Stephen Worth.
