Old Thrift stores always used to have the coolest stuff. Now that we have ebay, everybody's trying to get as much as they can for things and you can't get the good deals anymore. There's a few Salvation Army style stores in my neighborhood, and except for records, there's never anything good and cheap, and the clothing isn't much less than you'd pay for it new. Every once in a while I still find something interesting, though.
We have a thrift store here in town called Savers and it's fullllll of great weird clothes. I went around collecting everything I needed necessary to be Doctor Who for a costume party.
As for this, Your pure excitement is so infectious!! Especially for something most boring normal people would not speculate upon that much. This video is non-stop hilarity. Thanks for filming it Eddie!
Oh man! I'm one of your "never comment" readers and I just HAD to say how great this vid was. Too fun. I'm currently in the process of lint-i-fying all my shirts!
This was non-stop hilarity at it's finest! I haven't laughed this hard in days!
Thanks! And it looks like your iMovie is working again too.
Thrift stores are only going to be fun for a few more decades, and then they'll be filled up with swoosh caps and T-Shirts, Cross-Colors gear, and FUBU jeans.
jesus fruits! that post made me see the world in a diferent way eddie! there will be a time when you will hold mases of people in big theaters hearing conferences by you about subjects like this. you are really inspiring

ReplyDeleteThis is one of your best video posts yet! Really great! You should do a clothing series. Like..how about shoes next? Men's shoes and socks.
ReplyDeleteThe jacket is very cartoony, as if right out of the ink pen of a 1930's cartoon illustrator. Do you have any idea how old it actually is?

You're my hero. Nobody could make a wrinkly suit quite as exciting as you. I'm with Cynthia, I'd like to see more posts about men's wear!
ReplyDeleteNext you need to demonstrate why condoms only come in large and extra large sizes.
ReplyDelete"Bringing Up Father" was the official title. "Maggie and Jiggs" appears to be a popular title.
