BTW: Thanks to commenter Lastangelman for identifying the source of the arrangement on Dylan's "Must Be Santa": it's a group called The Brave Combo. Their site is definitely worth a visit:
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EDDIE!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm a little late, it's hard to get to the computer on holidays. Anyhow, hope you and your family had a good one! This song made me laugh!
Merry Christmas holidays Eddie, sorry for late greetings, holidaze, you know, BUT ... the arrangement of "Must Be Santa" that Bob Dylan used was actually written by my pals,Brave Combo, and Bob was decent enough to give 'em credit in a couple of interviews for his Christmas album. You can check it out here. I wish they had enough money to hire you, John K or Katie to animate/direct a video for one of the many songs in their catalogue, but dem is da breaks. They've been animated on The Simpsons once, but that really wasn't very good.Sam Hurt did something interesting for their version of The Hokey Pokey here.
ReplyDeleteHave a great new year, looking forward to '10.
Katie: And a hardy Merry Christmas to you and Luke, too!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLast: Many thanks for the Brave Combo info! I incorporated it into the post! I'm surprised that they didn't get any money for that.
What an awesome gift!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the Animaniacs version of the German childrens' song "Schnitzelbank" Which was, dare I say, superb.
Schnitzelbank!
