"I hear something moving behind the wall! Whatever it is, it's climbing up to the rafters!"
"It stops, maybe to pick up the axe from it's place behind the trunk!"
"It's a woman, a frail woman, painfully dragging herself across the floor, driven to lunatic exertion by a mad desire for revenge! She reaches the trap door and lets herself down into the house!"
HOOOOOWWWLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Oh, my God....she's..... she's IN THE ROOM! She's actually IN THE ROOM!!!"
"I can SMELL her TATTERED, URINE-STAINED DRESS!"
"I hear the BREATH escaping from her TOOTHLESS, MILDEWED lips!! I feel WHITE-HOT RAGE! I sense her BONEY, RAT-BITTEN FINGERS tightening around a DIRTY AXE HANDLE! "
"It's now or never! I gotta get outta here! I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!!!!!"
"Wait minute! If I go, I'll never get another place this cheap."
"Hmmmm.... the housing market being what it is......"
Awesome expressions Uncle Eddie! (I especially like the close-up of the eyes, nose and hand cradling the nose.)
ReplyDeleteEddie Fitzgerald - Pragmatic Home Owner!
ReplyDeleteWhat the "R Factor" for screaming, undead rat head twisters, I wonder..?
Hah, great ending.
ReplyDeleteYou MUST post this on the bulletin board at the local realty office.
ReplyDeleteBRAVO!!! GENIUS! HILARIOUS! ENCORE!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust imagine that poor tortured soul, her body mangled from living in between the tight confines of those cold, musty, roach infested walls. Her limbs must have been agonizingly twisted up just like...like........a pretzel.
ReplyDelete(*shudder*)
expressions, of course, are great eddie! any chance you got the idea for the story from edgar allan poe? it sounds like a story he wrote, though the name escapes me.
ReplyDelete- trevor.
brilliant! hilarious! i loved it.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a house with a boney old piss-lady in the wall. U lucky!
ReplyDeletePretzels, yummy!
ReplyDeleteI think the ghosts of all the roaches and rats she killed should gang up and do her in. Now THAT'S a revenge story.
ReplyDeleteCool camera work & a great emotional build-up on this one, Eddie! Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome, dude!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, your house reminded me of my own. Except for the strangling and chopping.
ReplyDeleteJeeze that coat hanging on the door was freaking me out!
ReplyDeleteI recommend that no one read this Eddie story in the dark. It gave me the jeebees!!
ReplyDeletebut WOW, what great and funny expressions!
Eddie, i think you should upgrade your photo essays to YouTube video essays!! imagine the possibilities!!!!!
Great story! And I love the "staging" of each picture! What dissapointed me is that I expected to see a picture of the rat-eating ghoul somewhere. Oh well, maybe next time SHE'll do the postings of Uncle Eddie's Theory Corner
ReplyDeleteEverybody: Thanks for the kind comments!
ReplyDeleteThe amazing thing about these spooky black and white pictures is that they looked perfectly normal, sometimes even cheery, in color.
I can't wait to do more horror stories! this one was kind of clunky because I did the first and second halves at different times, and the story elements didn't exactly fit. Well, live and learn!
I'm dying to do videos for YouTube! Getting a new computer with a new operating system set me back, but it'll probably make it easier in the long run.
Hooray!
ReplyDeleteGreat ending!
Can't wait for slideshow/YouTube version.
A new computer and OS? Went to a Mac or Linux?
AMAZING!!!!!!LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteThat was great. The coat (or was it something...else?)in the background kinda gave me the chills. Have you seen Vincent's drawing?
