Wonderful! I really like the one with the girl in the funhouse mirror. That's one amazing leer, even in a close up with half your face outside the picture!
Proving that pictures are really worth 1,000 words. Please don't add dialogue to it, Eddie. It's funny on its own.
Just started reading The Hunger Games too, and I'm really enjoying it. Went to go study at Barnes and Noble and borrowed a copy, only read the first chapter, but I'm definitely hooked. There was even a woman who randomly came up to me and told me it's a really good book. Alas, I couldn't purchase it because I had to spend money on one of those pricey Princeton Review/Barrons ACT test prep books. Maybe Thursday....it's not a really hard read at all and can have it down within one weekend.
Hopefully the movie will stay true to Suzanne Collins' vision of the story and characters, unlike a lot of failed book-to-screen adaptations. Not sure if this will become the next Harry Potter or not, but it could get there. We'll see.
Hopefully those teachers who think that anything less than a 3.6 GPA are dead wrong (mine is now a 3.3, dropped from a solid 3.5 unfortunately). Don't know if that's good enough for a lot of colleges, but we'll also see.
Joshua: Chaplin definitely, and also Mr. Bean. I don't pretend to be even remotely close to Rowan A's skill level, but it's hard to avoid being influenced by him when you do stuff like this.
That wide opening shot is the Canadian National Exhibition grounds. I used to save up my allowance for those midway rides. The picture has been flopped. You can tell if you look closely at the Canadian flags.;)
That last one gave me a good laugh!
ReplyDeleteLovely cartoony proportions and insanly oversized shoes!
My favorite is the panel of funfair-goer in his little pink cart, going up the hill. Can't wait for part 2!

Loved this Eddie! WONDERFUL
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows Eddie is a chaplin-era vaudville comedian sent to the future to enlighten us on the art of physical comedy.
ReplyDeleteIt's just common knowledge
