I DID IT!

Well, I did it! Kali helped me out and her dad came along and did some parts. Maki engineered creatively. I have to say that I was terrible and the whole thing was incredibly anarchic and disorganized but I still had fun and am I'm glad I did it. Sometimes you just have to throw yourself into a new situation, make your mistakes and see what the lay of the land is.

One of the several things that I learned is to write for the people (including me) who are actually reading the lines. I should have known that before. Everybody's a better actor when they're playing characters that resemble their real-life selves.

  1. Hey Eddie, I missed it. Anyway that we could get access to a digitized recording of the session?

I think that it's not often artists also are keen on wordplay like you are. That'sn whize we draw pikters... cuz werds is hard.

It was great! I listened to the whole thing and tried to call in to request either Orson Welles or an Abbot & Costello but they weren't taking calls. In any case, it was good to hear the three of you having so much fun and putting on such a great show!

  3. Oh, Uncle Eddie, I'm sorry that I missed the show! Rats..... :(

Will that station put up archives of the show? I didn't see any on their web site.

If they won't/don't put up archives, did they give you a recording that you can publish a little later?

  4. Ahh.. I missed it.

I live on the East Coast, so I was probably smashing my head against the wall getting ready for bed.

I've found that concussive sleep really leaves you feeling rested in the morning...

Someone please post an MP3 link.

I tried to tune in online, but couldn't find an internet stream from the station. So I listened to Mark Evanier on Shokus instead.

  16. I had fun with you Eddie! So did my dad!

I have a copy that Maki gave me- but I tried to put it in my computer-but it wouldn't go in! My cd/dvd drive is broken :(

I have a theory- I think my dad took a nap on my bed when I wasn't around and smooshed it!!! SAD!

  18. Eddie if you are to do podcasts, I would love to do one with you one day! I just love good banter! I can't think of anyone funner to banter with. I should also bring my mentor Jules Marino with me so we can all banter! I think you two may have worked in the same studio sometime, he after all worked with Ralph Bakshi and company on many of his films.

    Richard Nixon

    Ted Koppel

Emilio Largo from the 1965 James Bond movie THUNDERBALL
