Sorry, I got busy and now I'm sleepy and don't have the stamina to put up a normal post. I don't think I'll disappoint anyone though. What do you think of these pictures from my archive? Beautiful women all but my question to the readers is, who is the most beautiful? I vote for Ingrid Bergman. She's sexy but also kind and intelligent, at least in the picture. No offence to fans of sexy, mean and stupid, which has its appeal.
Anyway, here's Bridget Bardot (above).
How about Gina Lollobrigida ?
Lauren Bacall?
Ingrid Bergman?
Audry Hepburn?
Bridget Bardot? I happened to have another picture!

In my humble opinion they are all externally beautiful, but you don't know their real beauty unless you get to know them. Since they are all probably dead by now I guess I'll never know, but the best girls I loved and found the most beautiful were the ones that were my best pals.
Well, you can still find out if they're nice people and beautiful on the inside because all of them are still alive with the exception of Ingrid Bergman.
I personally am a big fan of Katharine Hepburn. Amazing looking lady.
If we're talking looks only, then I'd definitly have to go for BriGITTE (she's French) Bardot.
Bridget Bardot for sure. Ever since I heard Comic Strip by Serge Gainsbourgh I've been in love with Bridget.
Audrey Hepburn, hands down, no question about it.
Audrey Hepburn. Not the sexiest, but the most beautiful, and she will be glad to learn she's still alive.
I can't decide. It's between Bridgette Bardot and Gina Lolabrigida for me.
Bridget Bardot...Hands Down....
She has the softest features..a very symetrical face and her eyes are set wider apart ( more cat like)..smooth edges around the shape of her face and a longer, more elegant neck!
Those other hollywood legends have semi-masculine features...Hard,chiseled facial angles...large foreheads and jaw lines (manly, dont let the boobs full ya)...Square over-all.
How's that for an observation?
HOOWWWWL!! YOWWWLL!! WOO-HOO! WOO-HOO! WOO-HOO!!
*ahem*
I pick Gina Lolabrigida...
P.S.
Thank you kindly, Uncle Eddie...
Uncle Eddie, I read your blog every time you post and have yet to leave a comment. Today I can not contain myself. ALL of these women are beautiful but I have to throw my hat into the Audrey Hepburn camp. Cudos to you for brighten my Thursday morning.
Gina Lolobrigida. Like the old joke: There's something about that girl, I just can't put my finger on it...
You can get some inkling of their inner beauty because they all live eternally -- on film.
Hepburn all the way!!
what? I Audrey Hepburn died years ago .
although, I it's great if she is still alive.
I like them all they all have diffenrent qualities.
Do we have to pick from the women here only? If that's the case, Lauren Bacall is much different than the others and beyond that intriguingly beautiful.
My standards of what makes someone beautiful are pretty high, and/or weird, so I usually don't agree with everyone.
The only contemporary woman I think is really beautiful is Björk.
Boy Eddie..Its like youre asking "whats your favorite Beatles song?".. They are all so gorgeous!
Bardot.
>The only contemporary woman I think is really beautiful is Björk.
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! Butt ugly! My buddy met her in her cave in Iceland. He said she was insane.
Gina Lollobrigida. She's got the biggest chest.
...Yep. I'm shallow.
All these girls are beautiful...my favorite is Briget, though. Or Maybe Audrey. I don't know!!! But I totally agree with Kali- Bjork is super beautiful too! You like her, don't you Eddie? Jorge, for shame- just cause a girl is interesting it doesn't make her insane! I hate that girls are supposed to be boring all the time!
Other pretties that I want to be: Sylvie Vartan, Mira Sorvino, Scarlett Johansson...
I always loved Hepburn, but I'd be afraid I might break her. Maybe if I stacked her on top Gina, and and had Bridget steady her from the side, and Lauren to mutter dirty things in my ear....yeah, yeah that'd work.
That first pic of Bridget Bardot is killer! If you whatch any of there movies you'll fall head over heals for any of them.
"Well, only one answer can take care of all our questions. "
ahhhh Ingrid...
Hepburn ftw. I want to poke my eye out on her hipbones.
"Butt ugly! My buddy met her in her cave in Iceland. He said she was insane."
Go away.
" Maybe if I stacked her on top Gina, and and had Bridget steady her from the side, and Lauren to mutter dirty things in my ear....yeah, yeah that'd work."
Hahahahahaha!
"I want to poke my eye out on her hipbones."
HAHAH!!!!!!
" I hate that girls are supposed to be boring all the time!"
YA!!!!! Kaite knows hot girls better than us all!
Audrey Hepburn-Bridget Bardot
Definitely Audrey, she's the best!
Kate Bush. And not just because of her name.
Funny, Hepburn is the polar opposite physically of BB(with the big exception that both were classically trained ballerinas, which accounts for their shared grace of movement)...I think that esthetically the young Brigitte is the lusciousest thing ever...and hey, she wasn't stupid, either. Certainly she's very kind(she loves animals).
Audrey...well, she's got the best voice ever, period. What a fantastic, whiskey-through-a-straw sound! And her eyes! I'm glad to see so many guys love her, even if she's not a VA-VOOM type.
I forgot to say: I vote for Audrey. Yessir, I'll buy whatever she's selling.
Benjamin: "Brigitte?" (Sigh!)Nothing's spelled the way it sounds anymore.
Vincent: Audrey definitely looks and sounds great but like you I'd be afraid I'd break her.
Jenny: "Whiskey-through-a-straw sound"...I love the way that sounds.
CartoonJoe: You're welcome to come here and hoot any time!
Jorge, Kali, Katie: If you're as cute as Bjork much can be forgiven!
Audrey Hepboin!
Hmmm, I say Gina Loadabricks trumps 'em all!
I've always thought Ingrid Bergman was impossibly beautiful, though I don't know if I'd think that if she were a lousy actress. In fact I know I wouldn't.
I think Scarlett Johansson is gorgeous in the same way Ingrid was--no plastic parts!--but I'm not sure I'd think so if she hadn't done Ghost World.
Dorothy Dandridge!
See ya
Steve
All-time top three? Grace Kelly, my wife, and Olivia Hussey.
Bardot and Hepburn are high up there though.
Where's Mike? I bet he'd vote for them all- and add Jessica Alba hahahaha.
Audrey is probably the number one most beautiful person who has ever lived. And I agree sexy and beautiful are sometimes pretty different. You can be kind of ugly and still be sexy somehow.
Wow! I'm shocked that Katie, Kali and Eddie find Bjork attractive! Maybe it's time to do a google image search.
>Jorge, for shame- just cause a girl is interesting it doesn't make her insane!
lol, I'm just going by what my buddy Jahmes said.
Lauren Bacall is interesting without being crazy. Even now.
Modern women? What about Mariska Hargitay? With the long hair.
Oh, and Ann Sheridan!
Hey, no one voted for Sophia Loren! It must be that Ernest Borgnine DNA in her facial structure.
To get back to Eddies pick... If you had to spend the rest of your life with them, I would go with Ingrid. There is that warm intelligence that makes her seem less troublesome before middle age, and more supporting after middle age. And that cute little bit of overbite that humanizes her. (What? Do you think she would look like Frances Bavier as she gets older? No, she looks like Ingrid, just as her kid Isabella looks like Isabella. An inner radiance glowing outward. A balanced intelligence and sensibility.
I can't tell you how Gina or Bridget aged, themselves. Did they die young, staying pretty?
It is hard not to attract trouble and hardship with those looks, but I'm sure many survive unscathed, without taking anyone down in their wake.
To get back to Eddies pick... If you had to spend the rest of your life with them, I would go with Ingrid.
Good call. When she got older you could park your RV in her nostril.
I'd do them all.
At the same time.
Y'know what I find funny Eddie?
Is that more people commented on this thread about ancient pretty women than about your favorite book. I wonder what this says about us eh Eddie? :)
Audrey Hepburn of the ones listed. She has beautiful, delicate, pixie-like features.
But the most beautiful woman to me is Cheryl Ladd. This is her the year after she did the singing parts for Melody on Josie and the Pussy Cats. She was 21 at the time of this pic:

Sorry about the long address. Just cut and paste it...you won't be sorry. :)
She's still looks great for her age too.
theyre all quite striking but not really fuckable. Im more of a jenna jameson man, sure id love to have a conversation with them at a cafe but thats not id rather bang a hot broad given the choice.
Jameson looks a little better since she fixed her chin..not much. She's fugly, imo.
If Scarlett Johannson is without plastic parts (and lip collagen), Elanor Roosevelt was a Playboy centerfold.
Brian: I couldn't get the link to work!
Sean: I didn't expect much of a response from the Odyssey post. Most people have thumbed through it and found the style boring. It is boring, at least in the clunky translations that are out there. I have some great spoken record versions that might win a few people over but I don't know how to put excerpts on the net.
Brian: I couldn't get your link to work.
regarding the RV in the nostril ...
Ingrid looked just like that picture Eddie posted when in her sixties. She aged well.
Compare contrast starlet Joan Crawford, with character actress Joan Crawford.
They're all gorgeous...but are they beautiful?
They're all attractive sexually. Do I have to pick? Can't we all just be friends? ;)
I have always thought Audrey Hepburn had a lovely neck and face. Seeing her in A Nun's Story and that gorgeous face transcending the habbit. Not many could pull that off; hiding the entire body with their face poking through and remain attractive.

Ha ha ha! Hey, Eleanor was totally hot! Come on! She was a love machine! How do you think Franklin ended up in that wheelchair, anyway? "Polio." Pfft. Yeah, right.
Anyway, Miss Scarlett had those same lips when she was in The Ghost Whisperer, at the tender age of 12 or something like that, and the rest of her is authentic, half-Swedish. all-girl nature at its finest. And she's got damn good posture. She did have some work done on her nose, though. (Must have heard i.d.r.c.'s remark about Ingrid and the RV and didn't want to take any chances.)
Meanwhile "Most Beautiful Woman On Earth" Angelina Jolie had several rhinoplasties, a chin implant, jaw and cheek implants, lip surgery, and wears green contact lenses. Yeah. Real beautiful. At least she stopped wearing blood jewelry.
Whoops--I meant The HORSE Whisperer. Too many whisperers these days.
(This is a great opportunity for someone to jump in and nominate someone for their role in The Dog Whisperer.)
RV parking
I still think she was a beauty.
Uncle Eddie, I'm surprised at you. That ain't Gina. You've posted a picture of Sophia by mistake. Though Gina was certainly being groomed as another Sophia Loren, with similar eye makeup and shape of eyebrows (in addition to their other similar and outstanding charms), she did not have that little cleft in the chin that Sophia has. I know it's difficult to tell from that particular uptilted head shot with the eyes in shadow but, trust me, that's Sophia.
Other than that, nice topic you've got there and my vote goes to my alltime favourite - Audrey Hepburn.
Pete: Holy Cow! My mistake!
Are you sure about Angie, Spizz'? I've seen pictures of her at age 10 or so and her lips were huge.
As to the other stuff...I don't know--could be some "help" there.
For really natural beauties today, I think french and english actors(well, all europeans)have it over our emaciated, synthetic US look that's so popular.
Brian: I couldn't get the link to work!
Sorry about that, Eddie. That was a link to a private msn group. I think that's why the link wouldn't work.
I just uploaded the same Cheryl Ladd picture (from when she was 21) on my blog. It's the TEEN magazine pic. I also added a black and white pic from a few years later.
Anyway, hopefully the pics will show this time. :) Here's the link:

I may take them down later because I wanted to use that blog for my own artwork as soon as I can get my scanner working.
It's like trying to choose between a particularly delicious type of chocolate ice cream by one company and another equally delicious but somewhat different type of chocolate ice cream by a second company...
Wow! What a happy choice that would be.
But if I have to choose- Audrey Hepburn is #1. The epitome of grace. She was as beautiful inside as outside. And Bridget Bardot at #2.
Audrey Hepburn is INSANELY POPULAR here in Japan. She's on posters at various ATMs around town, always cropping up on magazine covers. When I ask female students their favorite movie, "Roman Holiday" is a constant. Yeah, "Roman Holiday" and "Harry Potter."
PS- I happen to think Bjork is a beautiful person, too. The woman I will ALWAYS defend against her foolish naysayers, however, is Yoko Ono.
Yoko has always gotten a bum rap. She was an accomplished artist and quite famous and well-respected in her own right here in Japan before she ever met John Lennon. She definitely did NOT break up the Beatles, and even her music is underappreciated, prefiguring as it did the riot grrl movement in the 90s, as well as Bjork's and others'.
Le Tigre name-checked her in one of their songs, and she continues to this day to be a vital and active voice in preserving not only John's legacy, but also in supporting the works of other artists and musicians. And she's a tireless crusader for world peace.
In every interview I've read with her, she combines a spiritual outlook with a hard-nosed and down-to-earth quality and humor, plus a keen intellect.
YOKO ONO.
Yoko Ono makes Bjork look like Lucy Liu.
I feel bad that you have to judge women based on such a narrow terms.
Françoise Hardy!
That's actually a photo of Sofia Loren not Lollobrigida
Audrey Hepburn por supuesto...su sonrisa es increible.
