NAKED POETRY READING
Greetingth again, poetry loverth!!!!!! Once again it's Naked Poetry Corner!
To get the effect you have to WATCH BOTH VIDEOS AT THE SAME TIME, so keep them both in frame.
Turn on the bottom (b&W) video, then wait three seconds and turn on the top (color) video!

Nico: Thanks! I like the character too, a sort of Absent-Minded Professor meets Percy Dovetonsils, meets Clyde Crashcup.
i still think we should get all my video equipment, team up, and make The Uncle Eddie Show a reality.

Good question. Apparently there was a group formed on youtube to do "naked vlogs"[video blogs, i.e. what youtube personal posts are]-and everyone who participates just...does a post naked(usually from the chest up, it not being meant to be pornographic).
This girl here wrote that she decided to illustrate the old adage "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". And I think she just wanted hers to be different.
You're heading into some really far out stuff with Mike's brainstorm here, Uncle Eddie. Coolness.
Boo: If I'd read it, the poem would have been the same one that I read so ineptly on the last poetry video. It's a terrific poem by Milton -- actually an excerpt from a poem --but it's inside a poem that not many people read anymore.
Poor Milton...it was his curse to be alternately boring and exciting. Samuel Johnson said about him that nobody ever wishes that "Pradise Lost" was longer, and that's really true. Many a school child was beaten for falling asleep or throwing spitballs during readings of Milton, but it's also true that some of the best writers of our age came to the beauty of words through this man.
He's not for everybody, and there's no shame in not liking him, but if you find yourself thinking of him years after you read him , then you're one of the people he was trying to reach.
Jenny: Ah, refreshed at the fountain of Kovacs! Hey, you're a Kovacs collector -- a sign of taste, BTW -- if you have any stills or memorabelia that you haven't put up on your own site yet, why not do that and i'll link to you?

Speaking of naked girls .... have you ever heard or read this? It's not half bad, I wouldn't mind taking a crack at animating that.

Brilliant!!
Jenny: Crashcup was a UPA-style cartoon character with a great nerdy voice. I'm not a fan of his cartoons but the voice was funny.
I hate to say it, but I'm not a fan of Wordsworth either. He was too unstructured. His poems seem more like essays. He was too wrapped up in what he was saying as opposed to the way it was said. But I'm always open to persuasion. Sometimes a really good reader can change your mind about a poet. I never liked Leaves of Grass till I heard Orson Welles read it.
Ahh Kali I like Nancy, especially that tattoo, wuhoo! Anyway Eddie I think your gettin' the hang of this, more please.
Jenny:Clyde Crashcup was a wonderfully voiced character on the Alvin Show. Infamous for inventing things that were already invented and being bailed out by his quiet follicly challenged assistant Leonardo.
Eddy:Wow, that's how I got into Leaves Of Grass! I tell you there are two books I still have problems starting or finishing:Foucault's Pendulum and Ulysses. I always end up getting frustrated and throwing the book across the room.
OH, back to this. I was shocked to see how much copies of this book goes for today, even the reprint from a few years ago. Phew!
Still, I'll hunt down a copy and try to copy the drawings.
Good one! Silent YouTube videos are fascinating. I hope that becomes a trend.
