The Invasion of EDDIES!!

Hey Eddie, if you have Photoshop, you can use "photomerge" to stitch you pictures: FILE>AUTOMATE>PHOTOMERGE.

Anon: Thanks much for the advice. Actually I began with a picture that was already in one piece. I split it up because I thought I might get Blogger to print it even larger that way.

I didn't even attempt to splice the pictures together in the blogger compose box. I was afraid the pictures would vanish if I did that, because that happened in the past. Now that the post is up, I think I'll go back and see if they splice together seamlessly. The relative sizes are a little off, so the merger, if it works, might be a little disjointed.

Thanks again for mentioning photomerge. I haven't tried it yet, but you've gotten me interested in it.

Anon: In a seperate post i tried to seamlessly join the 3 pictures in the blogger box, and it didn't work. Ah, well!

Bardot makes waves!!

Or at least eddies...

Wow! Eddie Fitzgerald (almost) Tex Avery style. Complete with a cute girl too. Now just add some of those expressions that Tex's wolf always made when he saw someone like Little Hot Riding Hood, and it would be like resurrecting the master himself. Just my two cents.

Was it this you were trying to achieve with the splice?

It was easy enough for me in the older blogger format; I don't know how it'd work in the newer beta.

Eddie! After avoiding it for years, and despite your reputation on this blog a few years back, I finally saw Kill Bill! It's one of the best things of it's kind I've ever seen! I can't believe I avoided it for so long.

I particularly loved the set piece mentality of the film, the one you advocated in your classic Ratatouille review. I mean, I could visibly hear David Mamet turning in his grave while watching it, but it totally worked!

Goddamn, that was a good movie.

Any other literate action movie recommendations?

Severin: I already knew how to do it in the old format. Sometimes I'd do it accidentally. This time I wanted to do it in beta blogger because the effect only has an impact when it's large, and beta blogger handles large pictures. I do appreciate that you went to the trouble though. Many thanks!

Lester: Haw!

Anon: Glad you liked Kill Bill! Other literate action films? Well, there's Kill Bill #2. How about Matrix #1 and Terminator 2? Also Master and Commander, Gettysburg, Gladiator, Spartacus, Hardboiled, 2001, Forbidden Planet, Incredible Shrinking Man, Naked City, Detective Story (B&W), Jason and the Argonauts, and even the less cheesey parts of Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.

I understand! I thought there must have been something more to it, because in the old blogger system splicing images is stupidly easy, and no one here is stupid!

OK this had me laughing out loud. Funniest cartoon faces that aren't actually cartoon faces of all time. "Theoryvision" got a laugh too.
