"TALES OF WORM PARANOIA": DRAWINGS THAT DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE SCREEN

This (above) is from a deleted scene where Sally finally realizes what the Worm's intentions are. I did the sketch and Tuck Tucker did a genius job on the clean-up. The scene was deleted for time.

These last two drawings are inbetweens from the brilliant animation Glenn Kennedy did on the Worm addressing the audience in the beginning of the film. He had great teardrop theories and a beautiful, cartoony line that made me regret the necessity to color the scene.

The originals of the drawings you see here, along with a bunch of others, were stolen from the studio before they could be copied. Glenn was able to do the missing parts over again, and he did a great job, but I still preferred the first drawings. Here's (above and below) a couple of originals that the audience never saw.

Hi Eddie,

Do you remember which scenes Kelly Armstrong animated in Tales of Worm Paranoia? I'm making a compilation video of her work.

ibcf: I'm very embarrassed to say that I can't remember which scs. Kelly worked on. Things were pretty hectic back then. Why not ask Kelly? She has a blog and a facebook page. I'm not on facebook so I don't know the address but you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. You might also ask Bob Jacques.

Thank you for your reply and suggestions! Unfortunately I couldn't find a Facebook page or blog for Kelly, but I will try Bob Jacques.

That Glen Kennedy opening is amazing. I should make a compilation video for him too...

Thanks again!

If anyone's curious, here's the animator breakdown as far as I know:

Opening to car driving off: Glen Kennedy
Johnny's insane face to holding vitriol bottle: Bob Jaques
Skull melting: ?
Pouring vitriol: Bob Jaques
"Watch out, Sally!": Kelly Armstrong
"You'll go to prison!": Bob Jaques
Johnny yells at Sally, trips: Glen Kennedy
Sally comforting Johnny: ? (Probably mostly, if not all Kelly Armstrong)
Johnny climbing steps to end: Glen Kennedy

Also, here's a deleted Kelly Armstrong scene that Bob graciously sent me:
