SOUP SLURPERS

Please, please, please forgive me for wiping out 13 perfectly fine comments in order to put a slightly improved version of the video up. I just couldn't bear to watch the video run silent for the last 45 seconds! If I'm able to re-cut this sometime in the future I'll run the music throughout instead of dimming it for the SFX. That and 50 other changes should fix it!

I wondered what on earth was going on.
That's okay, Eddy, they're still out there, somewhere, in Internet Heaven, constellations of data, playfully intertwined in some sub-ether layer of electromagnetic existence.

Eddie, you need your own hour-long weekly show!!!

Holy crap, Mr.F! You need to do two things - 1) Get your own show. Deadly serious. You are an incredible comic actor. I don't hand out praise easily. In fact, I hate most things. Pretty much everything actually. But you are a damn good comic actor. You need to get an agent and get a role in a sitcom or something.

2) You need to do a cartoon reference book and DVD for animators. You have such a classic mime ability that it would be invaluable for animators everywhere.

Bitter; Thanks! It's great to know that I made an impression on someone who's so hard to please!

I don't know if I'm good enough to get an agent. I need to do more videos to see what kind of range I have.

send this video to benny hill's ghost so he can regret no being as funny as you.

Besides reminding me of the cafe outtakes from Chaplin's The Immigrant, this great short reminds me of some of Ernie Kovacs work and also of Doodles Weaver's TV shorts for children.
Gosh, I wonder if anyone has posted any of Doodles kiddie shows on YouTube or Google Video?

Well one thing that's come of the re-posting: I spent the entire day convinced the title was "Sour Slurpers," and now I see it's actually "Soup Slurpers."

Which, obviously, is a much better title than "Sour Slurpers."

Great stuff, Eddie! The 2 guys look like they're slurping soup & sitting shiva at the same time.

Don't sweat the technical stuff, it's too entertaining for anyone to notice it much. Besides, this is genuine experimental filmmaking.

Haw Haw! Genius!

...But Eddie, how could you desecrate a Yankees cap like that?
Believe me, you don't wanna get THOSE fans mad at you. (Or the Jewish Anti-Defamation League, for that matter...)

You know, if Eddie did what Bitter is talking about, and made a DVD reference for animatiors, what would probably happen is what happened to Ren and Stimpy.

It would have a huge impact, but it wouldn't spark creativitiy, just encourage a barrage of imitators.

And there's only one Uncle Eddie Fitzgerald.

Speaking of soup, Eddie, what's your favorite kind? Me, I'm a sucker for New England Clam Chowder. It's also harder to slurp.

Eddie, you're on par with Rowan Atkinson's Mr. Bean!!! Now get back to drawing!!!

Boo: Yes, clam chowder! Irish stew is pretty good too. I even like pea and lentil soups with freshly-baked buttered bread!!

Chris: I don't know. I have it on an unmarked audio tape.

Fun! No other comments. Fun is enough.

P.S. -you may experience less dropout if you light stronger, like a TV weatherman.

Your funny!! I like the whole thing!! I also like that its phisical comedy. So much of comedy these days is all dialog. The stuff I write with the intent of being comical, is all dialog. I like phisical stuff. I'm big fan of Chaplin. Keep it up!! Its good!
