Just a brief Fourth of July message, lasting less than a minute. I want to post something later tonight or tomorrow (the fourth) that has nothing to do with this, but I don't want the holiday to go without comment.
You should put up the same video again tomorrow except with Stars and Stripes Forever in the background, which is our country's greatest hero's theme song, Popeye the Sailor Man. Now a moment of silence for the fallen Bluto!
Maybe you have to be as old as me to believe you meant it (and not feel obligated to write a sardonic comment.) I loved it; you touched me, and gave me pause for thought.
Me, too: Grateful, grateful for all the visionaries. I'm a novelist. Freedom of speech is part of my daily routine. I have come to believe it is the freedom from which all others grow.
Wow, now that's my kind of Holiday well-wishing! Go here to see whine about a quite different sort. I'll link to you too. Happy Fourth to all the sons of Gerald!
I've always had a soft spot for Americans for their pluck, courage & humour. There is another attributeI really admire about America; their patriotism. This thread epitomises that. I have had the privilege of serving with Americans abroad (no doubt, there will be many more occasions) and the same patriotism and zest for life you have displayed are in abundance with your troops.
Brooxi: Me? A "Blogger of Note!!??" Holy cow, if I'd known I would have combed my hair! A commenter from India mentioned me being a featured blogger but I thought he was just being kind. Son of a Gun! Well, thanks for telling me!

Not too many people could get away with saying something like this and seem genuine like you Eddie. I hope this video goes viral and soars to top of YouTube.
Katie:You and Eddie ought to get together and do a Olive Oyl and Bluto storyboard or video for fun, the original Seegar Olive Oyl was a tough broad and proto-feminist who could handle herself pretty well. (If you do a video, who could do Popeye? Katie????!!!!)

Dear Uncle Eddie,
You thanked everyone but your postman... and God :)
It's nice to see someone happy in a video.

Thank you Thomas Paine and FDR!

I've talked with Eddie's postman, and he's okay with being lumped in with God.
"Well, goodbye Mr. Fitzgerald, and remember....keep smiling".
