The drawings are very funny(especially the Anne Sullivan poses), a completely out out control Helen Keller would be hysterical to watch --- I don't think you've given her that far away look in her eyes that Patty Duke had in her performance.(Uncontrollable flailing is very important too.) You really have to use miss Duke as a starting point and then just push it as far as you can go.
WHOA! These are so cool Eddie!!! I remember watching Miracle Worker in 6th grade...you illustrated all my favorite parts! I'm so happy when you post your drawings!
Weird! This was just on TV here in Japan, so I have a fresh point of reference for this. These are perfect!
I had no idea what a violent movie "The Miracle Worker" actually was. Anne and Helen beat the snot out of each other. Jules White would've been the perfect director for those dinner scenes.
I would love to see Eddie and Kali reenact each of those scenes in the Miracle Worker in real life :). It would be totally funny, like a Three Stooges Episode! :D
Kali could be Helen Keller and keep looking in the distant and smack Eddie (dressed in drag as the teacher) senseless! That would be a treat! :)
What a brilliant cartoon summary of that movie! We need a rewrite (in the same spirit) of Ann Sullivan's brave & cheerful recount of her horrible institutional childhood.
Uncle Eddie reminds me of the character actor who was the handyman wise to the Bad Seed. (Henry Jones?)
I'm thinking of all new sorts of spins on Uncle Eddies potential Kiddie show now....
Eddies portrayal of The Miracle Worker made me think of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. Which I am not certain I have seen all the way through. Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte did leave its fingerprints in my Psyche as a youngster however.

Why is it that 'professional' cartoonists are so stingy when it comes to showing their own drawings on their logs? ;OP
Reminds me of the SCTV sketch, "Gangway For A Miracle!" or whatever it was called...
These are absolutely hilarious. There aren't too many cartoonists that can get me to laugh out loud. You do it a lot, Eddie. Keep on going and thanks.
Eddie Fitzgerald drawin Helene Keller is a funny idea, the drawings are even funnier.
joy! these would make helen herself laff!

They missed the boat by NOT doing "The Helen Keller Show" with identical flailing cousins.
I have no idea what's going on but these drawing made me laugh anyway!!!! Especially the WHACK and spoon feeding!

Always fun to watch movies over Eddie's shoulders! Even if the object of ridicule is one of my favorites (the play is darn good too!).

I think of Tiny Toons when I look at your drawings.

BTW just kidding guys :)
Wow! That's THE MIRACLE WORKER, alright - I'd know that water pump scene anywhere!
Do THE BAD SEED next, Eddie...
you should put up some sketches in this style for "behind the green door" eddie!
Mike: The Bad Seed! You read my mind!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Your sketches made me laugh at a story that's supposed to be touching without feeling guilty.
