Is it as simple as saying, "working hard to achieve success" lost last night? Romney pushed that message but it didn't resonate with the 29 and younger crowd, statistically speaking. Many factors flying and let the pundits sort it all out, I guess.

Thanks for answering my previous question in great detail. Voluntary socialism sounds like it occurs naturally when you don't have so many restrictions on legitimate businesses and the people themselves, but it's hard trying to explain libertarianism and the free market to people who have either grown up entirely in either a progressive environment and have a negative perception of people who have made a lot of money. Maybe they're intimidated by the actions of the Koch Brothers, who happen to own the libertarian think tank Cato Institute.
Brian O. - Exactly. He PUSHED it. Like one would push, say, heroin. He didn't embody it. He didn't embody anything. He lost because there was no sincerity or consistency in what he said. And I mean ever. In his entire life. He is a fake. A human glass mannequin. David Brooks is a conservative (and just happens to look abit like Eddie!). George Will can be an idiot sometimes, but he is a real conservative. The GOP isn't even on the political spectrum. It's just derelict right now.
Zoran: Romney's a moderate and felt a little uncomfortable when pitching himself to conservatives, but I don't see that as having much importance.
In my opinion the question facing us in the election was whether we'd continue Obama's massive borrowing, job-killing and demand dampening taxes, the printing of money with nothing to back it up, and endless stimulus spending that we can't afford.
Romney appeared sincere to me when he said he'd change all that.
