NAKED POETRY READING

Greetingth again, poetry loverth!!!!!! Here's a reprise of "Naked Poetry Corner" from 2010.

To get the effect you have to WATCH BOTH VIDEOS AT THE SAME TIME, so keep them both in frame.

Turn on the bottom (B&W) video, then wait three seconds and turn on the top (color) video!

Many, many thanks to Lalalizabeth, who made her video completely independently and whose videos can be viewed on YouTube.

Why would they ever be taken down?

Eddie, you were right. Watching those two videos at the same time in the same frames was really a unique and fun experience. It's almost as if you and that Nancy girl were interacting with each other at the same time, as through a webcam or other form of live communication service. Too bad you never read the poem you said you were going to read in the video.

Does that mean you're making another one soon or a story? I haven't seen one of those on your blog in a long while. Maybe it's time again.

This is very funny, but you have to see Eddie dancing with Laura Hilliar. I watched it so many times and I'm still laughing. Search on this blog (July 4, 2008). The movements and faces... all perfect!

Lester. Luis: Haw! Thanks for the kind words!

Severin: Lilalizabeth took down her videos, maybe (just guessing) because she got a lot of sleazy comments from men on YouTube.

Roberto: I never really had a poem to read, though one of these days I'd like to do a serious blog about my favorite poetry.

BTW: Are you related to Severin? Your profiles say that you both live in different towns in Georgia.

Most likely not, though it is a funny coincidence now that you've brought that up, since we both seem to be very talented cartoonists in our own right (even though Severin draws way better than I can right now, since he's much older. I've been drawing and watching cartoons, including the Looney Tunes and other great classics, ever since I could pick up a pencil). I was born in New England and moved to Georgia when I was 8, yet I've never been to Savannah before. My last name is actually Italian and possibly Spanish (since my parents come from the Dominican Republic) for Severin, so maybe that's why you were wondering about that.

Although I have heard that everyone in the world may be related to each other in some way. Don't know if that's true or not, but I just found it interesting. Such a good question needed a thorough answer, I guess.

By the way, this is also very coincidental in the fact that I've been signing my own drawings under the pen name of either "Eli Severin," "Rob Severin," or simply "Eli" (basically, I Anglicized my middle name, Elias, which is coincidentally the same middle name Walt Disney had, and then also shortened my last name. Weird, huh?) fairly recently, out of the thought of how many great cartoonists have purposefully changed their own names or nicknamed themselves for the purpose of their cartoons or movies, like Charles "Chuck" Jones, Frank "Tish Tash" Tashlin, Robert "Bob" Clampett, Jack Benny, and so on. A sort of experiment, perhaps. Besides, I was never really fond of my name that much, and I think if I'm making great cartoons one day, that people watching them would need something better to remember than "Roberto," which in itself already sounds too common and boring when you translate in English. What do you think?

I had forgotten to post this in my other comment. Hope you don't mind.

That was good, watching you and that Nancy girl interact. It's great.

Oops, just noticed that you asked if I had a connection to Roberto Severino! As Roberto mentioned, no connection, other than that I happened to go to school in Georgia! I'm in Burbank now, scrambling to become a cartoonist.

I've come across several people with Severin as a last name, but I've never met someone with it as a first name. And I've definitely never found someone with my full name, Severin Piehl! I think I'm the only one, which would explain why I went into a field full of outcasts and weirdos.

Roberto: Thanks! I'm glad you think so highly of my work! I'd say that you are making good progress yourself, from what I've seen on your blog.
