MODERN STORIES VS. CLASSIC STORIES

A CLASSIC STORY SAMPLE:  FROM THE OLD "LONE RANGER" RADIO SHOW

OUTLAW: "I'm gonna kill you right now, Lone Ranger!"
SHERIFF: "Oh no you ain't, Cal Steward! Put up your hands!"

A MODERN STORY SAMPLE:  FROM A CURRENT RADIO SHOW

KATE: "I wanted to cry but I couldn't. Know why? I didn't feel enough."
KITTY:  "That's better than feeling too much (sob!)...like me."

Too much sap in the modern story.

Hi Eddie, it's been a long time since I've last commented but life got so busy for me over the long hiatus I took, though I've remained in contact w/ a few animation people overtime. How has life been for you?

I just hope you remember me.

Cheers!

Sad to hear about Martin Landau's passing a few days ago. I was surprised to hear he had a background in cartooning. Here is an article:

Ha! I needed a laugh like that tonight! Everything seems to be about feelings these days! They even make animated movies where feelings have feelings now!

Roberto: Roberto!!! How are you!??? Still in Canada? Did you take accounting in school? I think I remember you saying you were interested in that. I'm fine. I'll be moving from LA soon but I'll keep up the blog once I get established.

Don: Sorry to hear about Landau. I'll look for his cartoons on the net. Geez, he was a great Lugosi!

Nicholas: Yeah, modern stories are way too sappy now!
