A NEW CARICATURE!

Boy, you have to have thick skin to be a caricature subject for John! Here I am on a restaurant napkin, sharing the space with a starfish, a screaming girl, and a puppet profile.

If you're curious to see what doodles were on the other side, then here you go!

Ouch.
I am relieved to see that i am not the only one who cant resist drawing unflattering caricatures. I could never keep employed at the theme parks because I always made people cry or angry. I just wasnt good at making ugly or uninteresting people look pretty just to give them a false sense of security. Other than the victims, everyone else loved the brutally honest caricatures though, as long as it wasnt them.

I was lucky enough to be a recipient of a rude John K. caricature! Complete with snaggly teeth and squirting neck acne!

It's nicely framed on my wall.

"Hey Eddie, this is off the topic, but could you please post some of your drawings you did during your Ren and Stimpy days? I'm trying to identify your scenes in the cartoon. I would really love a little study guide on how you drew both Stimpy and Ren. I hope you make a post about it."

That would be great. Also you should post more of your drawings period.

Anon: A guide? That would be a big undertaking. I just don't have time for it. Besides, there are people who could draw those characters better than I.

I feel guilty drawing for the site these days when I should be spending all my drawing time on what I'm getting paid for. As soon as I get more time I'll gladly draw for the site again. It's fun!

Kali: I'll scan it or xerox it for you!

But surely any of the time you take away from your freelance to POST is time not doing it-whether it's spent drawing or as here, writing?

So away with the needless guilt and put some drawings up!
