Attempting to disregard and failing. The hilarity overtakes me. So so grrreat.

And... great meeting you the other night, by the way!

I cant express how incredible your blog John K's the asifa etc. has been for me and everyone else trying to learn how to draw.

Before I found John K's blog (and by extension all you other wonderful folks)
this http://www.learn-to-draw.com/caricature/04-drawing-caricatures-materials.htm
and other "heres what perspective is, negative space means... now give us 50 bucks for the 10 other lessons!" sites, and nonsense on how to draw stoic anime hero's using vectors.

This is billions of times more useful than any paysite out there and its free free free! Although I probably shall be making a modest donation soon

Anon: Thanks for the kind comments and for the link. That's not a bad site. The guy's just trying to make a buck and that's understandable. I wish he'd put up more drawings though.

I must need new glasses - in that last picture, I thought you were giving the one-finger salute.

I love love LOVE your picture stories, or as I call them, the live action comics! They're so creative.

I feel your pleasure over the soup. My mama makes a chicken noodle soup that gets that reaction from anyone who eats it. My late significant other, who absolutely HATED chicken noodle soup, reacted that way when he ate my mama's soup.

Michael: Thanks for the kind comment and thanks for all those great Disney storyboards on your site!

Jennifer: "Late" significant other? You mean your boyfriend died? I hope this doesn't sound rude, I just can't help wondering.

What many of you don't know is that this was the live-action reference footage that the Disney artists rotoscoped for the animation of Dopey in the "Soup eating" sequence that was cut from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". Yes, friends, Uncle Eddie really is that old. I carbon dated his nose hairs when the rascal wasn't lookin'! That's the last time I join a carbon dating service, by the way...

PC: Thanks, I finally got to see the poster. It's very good for a modern poster but still not up to the best of the old ones.

Pete: I had the dwarfs in mind when I did this. Kali says you're supposed to push the spoon away from you when you scoop up the soup. I'm embarassed to say that I'd forgotten that.

Eddie Fitzgerald said...

Cynthia: I'm not that old looking!!!! Really, it's the X%$#@ camera!!!! Excuse me while I take some arsenic.

Nico: Another shoot! Yes!

Yargh! No! I didn't mean you LOOK old! We need to *dress you up to LOOK old*..y' know, spectacles, checkered shirt and a super long Father Time beard to drop soup fragments..like carrots into!

Cynthia: Too late! Too late! I'm already in the afterlife, eating sandwiches and reading magazines.
